Silences every CAPTCHA alert — the sound on this PC, the phone push, and the flashing banner above — and stops the browser window being raised over whatever you are doing. Parsing is not affected: a CAPTCHA still parks the browser and waits for you indefinitely, so leaving a run going overnight with alerts off means it stops quietly at the challenge and carries on the moment you solve it in the morning. Turning this off while a CAPTCHA is waiting raises the window and alerts straight away.

These act on the worker Chromium window the proxy opened — not on this page. Log in to Google opens a Google sign-in tab in that window (log in there, once; the session is saved and reused across restarts). Show browser brings that worker window to the front (useful when it's minimised while idle). When a CAPTCHA appears the window is raised automatically and an alert sounds; the browser then stays parked on that challenge and waits indefinitely — solve it whenever you get to it and parsing picks up where it stopped. Google Scholar usually works without logging in.
